Authorities in the Caribbean basins discovered more than 15 corpses that were found floating on boats off the coast of the islands of St. Kitts and Nevis.
The ship was spotted on Tuesday evening not far from the shores of the islands. Police and rescue services were immediately dispatched to the scene. According to the authorities, among the deceased are both men and women.
"We have already begun investigating to establish the identities of the deceased and the reasons that led to this tragic incident," said a representative of the local police.
For now, the reasons and circumstances of the passengers' deaths remain unknown.
